Chiropractie
De wervelkolom beschermt het ruggenmerg dat samen met de hersenen, het centraal zenuwstelsel vormt. Wanneer er zich hier functiestoornissen voordoen, dan ontstaan er storingen in de doorstroming van zenuwimpulsen. Deze functiestoornissen veroorzaken zenuwirritaties die zich kunnen uiten in nek-, schouder-, arm- en hoofdpijnklachten. Maar ook in rugproblemen zoals spit, ischias, hernia en artrose. Opleiding
Chiropractoren hebben een in het buitenland verkregen academische graad van 'doctor of chiropractic'. Het gaat om een voltijdse dagstudie van 5 jaar, die mensen opleidt om deze 'storingen in het zenuwstelsel' te diagnostiseren en te behandelen. Omdat de titel 'chiropractor' in Nederland nog niet wettelijk is beschermd, is het voor u belangrijk dat uw behandelaar zijn opleiding genoten heeft aan een van de erkende colleges.
