Our Practice
Chiropractie Leiden is a chiropractic practice that strives for the best possible health care for every single patient. Our chiropractors take their time to listen to your health concerns. After performing an extensive examination to obtain an accurate diagnosis, we will discuss with you the available treatment options.
Thanks to our vast experience in a variety of chiropractic treatment methods and the use of functional neurological examination tools, we will work together towards helping you regain optimum health and wellness. We will involve the general practitioners and therapists in the region if we feel that a multi-disciplinary approach can lead to a more speedy recovery.
Our Chiropractors
Jeroen Postma was born in England but grew up in the United States. His parents are both Dutch. He studied chiropractic at Northwerstern College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis, Minnesota and received the Doctor of Chiropractic degree (DC) in 1987.
In 1988 he moved to the Netherlands to discover his roots. After working in a group practice in Heemstede for some time, he opened his own office in Leiden in September 1990.
Jeroen Postma is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB). This specialization in the field of functional neurology makes him accredited to treat various neurological disorders that are often the cause of acute and chronic health problems.
Cock Lommerse was born and raised in Noorwijkerhout. He studied at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) in Bournemouth, England. He was motivated to study chiropractic by his own chiropractor whom treated him with great success. Before becoming a chiropractor Cock studied laboratory technology and biology.
Working with quality care providers and the opportunity to specialize in chiropractic functional neurology was what made him enthusiastic about joining the team of Chiropractie Leiden. Chiropractor Lommerse is also taking the chiropractic post graduate neurology course and will soon take the boards to become fully accredited as a chiropractic neurologist (DACNB).
Martijn van der Schouw was born in Laren. It was during his training at the International Academy for Physical Therapy 'Thim van der Laan' in Utrecht, that mr. van der Schouw became interested in manipulative techniques. After practicing for a few years as a physical therapist, he decided to go back to studying and become a chiropractor. He obtained his master certificate in Australia, at Macquaire University, Sydney.
Mr. van der Schouw returned to the Netherlands not too long ago, to join the team of chiropractors at Chiropractie Leiden.
Even though mr. van der Schouw likes treating patients of all ages and seeing a diversity of complaints, he has a special interest for the prevention and coaching of sport injuries.
Just like his colleagues at Chiropractie Leiden, chiropractor van der Schouw will also be specializing in functional neurology.

We have helpful and friendly support staff members that are there to make you feel welcome and be at your service. You can consult them about scheduling appointments, your chiropractic programme or chiropractic in general.
